Ed, why are you not continuing the fight for the 99'ers..You stopped as soon as the bill was passed on last Thursday...Clearly, you understood that the billl did not help us and you vowed that you would not stop until the 99'ers got help...What happened??????

Ed,
Please Don't Stop Pushing for more weeks of unemployment benefits for the 99ers. We need your help. You did not mention us, the 99ers, today but we are still here and we still need those additional weeks/Tier 5 benefits. Dont hang us out to dry. We need your voice.

Ed: On your Friday show, Joan Walsh made an excellent point that you seemed to not absorb or appreciate. She said:
"FOX News is now a 50-state ‘Southern strategy.' They are spreading fear of Black people, they are spreading fear of a Black President, and they are inverting our race relations in this country to make us white people be the people who have to worry about being oppressed, while these Black people walk all over us. It is ridiculous!"
I found this stuff profound; although, I know Rachael Maddow did most of a program on it, too.

I think Mort Zuckerman had some good points and needs to be listened to. Small business creates most of the jobs in our country and what they think needs to be paid attention to. Business should not be demonized all the time for political points because they are the ones that create jobs and ultimately create tax revenues. There are a lot of Progressive business owners too.
As Mort said, business did not feel they were under attack under the Clinton Administration as they are now. It is possible to have universal health care, roll back of the tax cuts for the wealthiest Americans, reinstatement of the estate tax, etc, still have businesses on your side and not have businesses feel like they are being demonized.

Ed, Thank you for having the guts to speak to the issues of middle class America. We the democratic and republican members of the middle class will mourn the day Obama's attempts at reform are defeated.
Look at the trends that are developing. Our jobs are being outsourced to the lowest bidder, while our elected officials demonize those who advocate for us. Fellow Americans don't let your fears be exploited to your own demise. This is a war we cannot lose.
Please read the writing on the wall!

Ed, seriously, don't take a knife to a gun fight. You're arguing with a billionaire who is a major employer. Are you a billionaire? No. You're out of your league and you don't know what you're talking about. You might want to listen to him instead of telling him how you think business works. It reminds me of the movie Back To School where the professor is trying to teach Rodney Dangerfield about business. Dude, you just got schooled by Zuckerman.

How can the Publicans want tax cuts for the Rich, because they supposedly create jobs? Isn't that SOCIALISM! Expecting someone else to take care of you and supply a job for you.
Provide housing also? Offer to sell you items from the company store? Take it out of your pay?
No thanks, I'll find one on my own, or better yet create one for myself.
Trickle down didn't work for Reagan. After 8 years and the Savings and Loan fiasco, Bush one had to clean up the sh-- left by Ronald R. (read my lips...no new taxes)
After 8 years of Bush II now Barack has to clean up.
Seems trickle down takes 8 years to collapse.

See, this is where the working class mentality has it wrong. No one goes into business for the purpose of just hiring workers. They go into business to make money. If they need or can use workers to make money, they hire them. If those workers make money for them, they hire more workers. Otherwise, they hire fewer. I posed this question to a friend of mine that has a successful small business. When do you hire an additional worker? Answer: when the addition of that worker results in an overall increase in profit after taxes.
My grandfather was one of the wisest and most successful people I ever knew. He told me this once: Be careful beating up on the rich. No poor person ever gave me a job.

Ed's only strength isn't voicing support for the 99ers on his talk shows. He's a small business owner and also fighting behind the scenes. Stand by.
The amount of money you have doesn't make you wise. Ed, schooled!?!?!? Dude, what show were you watching?!?!? I see Zuckerman retreating against Ed's penetrating questions!! Smart, wise people get it right the first time and do not need to retreat.
The President isn't a 'freekin' janitor to clean up G W Bush's messes (plural!). You should never have selected him, especially when HIS FRIENDS TOLD YOU, "This boy isn't the sharpest knife in the drawer!" Live with the misery you voted for!
Perception of wisdom depends on one's ability to understand. Just because a "poor person" never gave your grandfather a job, doesn't mean that rich people are nice. So, in your analogy, would you prefer the crumbs the rich men give you rather than the bread the poor person will gladly share with you? Yeah, right!! I'll share the poor man's bread any day. How do you think rich people became rich? …by not sharing their bread with others! Some grandfather are absolutely NOT wise.. quite the opposite, I'd say!
Don't get it twisted! Business people NEED others to HELP THEM MAKE MONEY FOR THEM. If you STOP HELPING THEM AND HELP YOURSELF, either both or at least one of you will make money. Be the one that makes money, regardless of what others do or want to do.
Publicans, bread from the rich man's table ... sounds a bit Biblical to me.

Ed
I just wanted to thank you .....
You stand up for the working classes and the little guy ......
The Real Americans .....The 99ers case is truly a cause worth fighting for ...These people have nothing left ..They paid there tax's and thier unemployment insurance ......Insurance is that whats its called .... It should be called Maybe or Maybe not coverage..... If we as Americans had control of our Congress and it was up to us.... if they get paid or not how would they feel ....What would they think ....??? Lets just say November is just around the corner .....Trust me they will Remember all there stallings and Pointing fingers across the isle..... Instead of looking in the Mirror
